The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on Tuesday in Kano State, said the board would not extend its registration deadline.

The remark was by the examination body’s registrar, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede on account of the low turnout of candidates at registration centres in the state, a situation he expressed worry about.
Oloyede, who was in the state to inspect some designated Computer Based Test (CBT) centers, noted with concern candidates’ low turnout at registration centres, warning that the board would not extend its closing dateline of February, 2018.
His word, “I want state categorically that the board will not give any extension after the expiration of February 6, 2018 dateline. So, I am calling on all JAMB candidates, Direct Entry (DE), United Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) and foreign students to come forward and register for the exam, we have started registration on December 6, 2017 and we are closing on February 6, 2018.”
