A lady identified as Toyin has killed one Moses Baba-Agba for cutting ties with her over fake pregnancy.
The incident happened in Badagry West Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
Report said, Toyin had claimed to be pregnant for Moses and on the account of the claim, he was giving her money for antenatal medical care, which went on for weeks.
The twenty-four old’s bubble was said to have burst last week when it turned out that she was lying about being pregnant and was only a ploy to make Moses to remain committed to the relationship.
The discovery sources said, followed Toyin’s failure to produce scan result and instead lied that the machine of the medical laboratory she went got spoilt.
Her reason was said to have raised Moses’ mother’s suspicion and she took her to a hospital where she was subjected to the pregnancy test, which turned out to be negative to Moses’ annoyance.
In the ensuing anger, the deceased declared he was no longer interested in the affair.
Narrating how she perpetrated his killing, person familiar with the incident, “On Friday night, Toyin deceived Moses’ sister staying with him and took her to the seaside for fresh air. On getting there, Toyin told her to wait because she wanted to pick some clothes at home. When Toyin got home, Moses was already sleeping. She poured petrol on him and set him on fire after locking him in the room. She then escaped with Moses’ phone but as she was fleeing, she was badly wounded on the leg by the raging inferno that spread across the rooms.
“Moses struggled alone in the room for a long time before he could break the door and ran to my house for help. At first, we did not know it was Moses because he was burnt beyond recognition. In the ensuing confusion, we poured oil on him but to no avail. We then rushed him to General hospital where they referred us to the hospital at Ikeja where Moses later died on Monday. His body is presently at the mortuary in Badagry.”
