A woman has dragged his ex, one Hassan Umar, before a Kano magistrates’ court for desertion despite spoiling him with gifts amounting to N900 000(Nine hundred thousand naira).
Umar during his arraignment before Magistrate Salisu Hussaini on Thursday pleaded not guilty to the charges while the judge ordered the parties to bring their witnesses at the next session.
The complaint in an interview with newsmen after the court session, said she spent on the defendant and gave her several good treatments including sumptuous meals but allegedly broke his promise to marry her.
“In hopes that he was dead serious about marrying me, I prepared him all sorts of foods from chickens Including two rams and in total spent N900,000 on him but he broke his promise,” the jilted lover narrated.
