NJC had in 2011 recommended Anka’s sack after an investigative panel constituted by the judicial body found him guilty of receiving the bribe from one Zubairu Abdumalik in order to deliver judgment in his favour.

Furthermore, the council has set up 15 committees to investigate various allegations against 15 judicial officers, including two chief judges, a statement it released on Monday and signed by its Director Information said.

It said it came to the decision after looking into the reports of the two Preliminary Complaints Assessment Committees on 46 petitions written against judicial officers in the federal and states judiciaries.
