Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has maintained his stance that some Muslim clerics grace occasions for pecuniary gains.
K1 remarked this during his late mother’s Fidau prayer upon which Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa, who delivered a sermon at the event urged the singer to apologise for the comment.
“To admit guilt means saying, ‘Okay, don’t be angry.’ But there’s no reason for that because I have done nothing wrong. If you admit guilt, you are saying the accusations are true, which they are not,” the bereaved retorted.
His comment sparked widespread criticism and divided opinions as several commentators were for and against it.
