A Kano-made vaccine is however gradually gaining currency and traction among residents, a situation the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 expressed displeasure at on Tuesday.
Speaking on it, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said: “You must ignore the vaccine being hawked in Kano, which is called “COVID-19 Vaccine. It is yellow in colour. It is not certified by anybody. Please, don’t patronise the hawkers.”
Mohaammed also sent strong warnings to broadcasting stations against fake news on COVID19, saying the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) will not hesitate to sanction erring stations.
