An unnamed driver of a Toyota Hilux in the convoy of Kano State deputy governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has been arrested for stealing the vehicle.
His arrest was trumpeted by a statement the deputy governor’s Chief press secretary, Ibrahim Garba released, which also announced the vehicle recovery.
Ibrahim credited the police with the suspect’s arrest and the vehicle recovery saying the thieving driver is a government worker.
“The general public is hereby advised to remain calm and rest assured that the security of lives and property remains the top priority of the Kano State Government, both within and outside the Government House,” the statement also read.
