An FCT High Court sitting in Jabi on Thursday, dismissed a bail application made on behalf of alleged killer wife, Maryam Sanda, and ordered that she be returned back to prisons.

Maryam is standing trial for allegedly killing her husband, Bilyamin Bello.
Her mother, Maimuna Aliyu, and brother, Aliyu Sanda, and one Sadiya Aminu, who are facing allegation of assisting her to clean the blood of Bilyamin from the crime scene with the aim of screening her from legal punishment of her action were however, granted bail by the court.
Justice Yusuf Halilu refused Maryam’s bail application despite the medical report attached to it.
He said the ailment she is said to be suffering from was such that can be taken care of in prisons custody.
“I have seen from where I am that the 1st defendant (Maryam) has not exhibited any symptom of a life-threatening ailment. She appears very strong while standing in the dock,” he said.
Subsequently, the case was adjourned until February 5, 6 and 7 2018.
Maryam is accused of killing her husband Bilyamin, a son to former Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Halliru Bello Muhammad.
