The late lovers

Two undergraduate students of Kwara State University, KWASU, a boy and a girl, who were in a romantic relationship have been found dead in bed in the room they shared together.

The deceased, Tobiloba Daniel and Arewa Abayomi were in 200-level in KWASU. The latter is not involved in the ongoing lecturers’ strike that has led to the closure of several varsities in the last six months.

Rather, the institution is currently conducting exams for its students to which Daniel and Arewa’s absence during some of the papers that they were bound to sit for brought about panic from their colleagues.

The fears that something untoward must have happened was confirmed after they were found dead in their room at a private hostel outside the campus.

No finger has yet been put on anything as the cause of their deaths, only that report gaining traction in the campus is that the lovers died of suspected food poison.

However, an autopsy to be carried out on their remains, according to the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Okesanmi Ajayi, will clear the air on what is behind their demise.
