Lagos APC chairmanship aspirant dies in auto accident

Less than twenty-four hour to Saturday’s election into 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State, an aspirant for chairmanship on the platform of All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Shakiru Balogun, has passed on.

Comrade Balogun’s death occurred on Friday following a fatal crash involving his car and a LAWMA truck in Lagos.

The deceased, who contested for chairmanship candidate of APC in Igando/Ikotun but lost was formerly the Chairman of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in the area.

Meanwhile the candidates of APC won the chairman positions in all the 20 Local government areas and the 37 local council development areas.
