The suspect and others at large, allegedly between January and March, defrauded the chief judge of the sum, said to be money left from building approval’s payment and was supposed to have been returned to the Lagos State Government’s account by the Chief Judge.

The Magistrates’ Court heard from the prosecutor, Fidelis Dike, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), that the accused allegedly forged the government’s revenue receipt to cover up his act, adding that the offence contravened Sections 411, 334(1), 365(1), and 314(1)(A)(B) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.

Dike’s request to the court to remand the accused, was granted by Magistate A. O. Salawu, who further adjourned the case to September 5.
