The shutdown of Med Contour by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) was occasioned by customers’ complaints about the Lagos-based body-modifying clinic.

The commission’s Chief Executive Officer, Babatunde Irukera stated this to newsmen after sealing up the Lekki Phase 1 office of the clinic.

Irukera said Med Contour was doing a shoddy job and causing its customers bodily harms following which the commission was inundated with complaints culminating in the closure of the clinic facility.

He said: “The information we have seems to tell us that the body modification procedures seem not to comply with applicable standards of care and some have complained to us that they have sustained significant and sometimes irreparable injury on the procedure that they have been subjected to.”

Med Contour is owned by Dr. Anu Fella, who is reportedly on the run. The clinic fell into ignominy online after a twitter user accused it of performing a botched waist surgery.
