Claim that the Lagos State Police Commissioner ordered probe into multiple sexual harassments levelled against Pastor Chris Okafor has received denial from the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Adebisi Abimbola.
The report of the probe of the embattled pastor surfaced at the weekend.
Reacting in an interview with Vanguard, Abimbola punctured the report saying, “At no point did the CP order an investigation into sexual harassment. That was never discussed.”
She added that the other narrative bordering on murder allegation against Pastor Okafor was what drawn the Commissioner’s reaction
“The CP only directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to verify the authenticity.
“The CP only said we should not turn a deaf ear and should determine whether the alleged murder claims are true. Nothing about sexual harassment was ever part of the discussion,” she stated.
