The Lagos judicial panel has compensated 13 victims of police brutality with N83million including the Johnsons whose slain son, Kolade, was killed in 2019.
Recall that 36-year-old Kolade was shot on his way from a soccer viewing centre in Oonipetesi area where he had gone to watch an English Premiership league match between Tottenham and Manchester United when a stray bullet shot by police killed him.
His bereaved mother was handed a cheque of N10 million by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry on Restitution for victims of SARS Related Abused and other matters chaired by Justice Doris Okuwobi.
