A prophet at Celestial Church of Christ in Lagos, Oriyomi Damilola Remilekun, has died during Valentine’s celebration at Avista Beach Resort Ogombo, Lagos.
Late Remilekun had on Saturday, February 17, led some select youths at Shogbami Parish in Gbagada to the said beach to celebrate Valentine that came up earlier on Wednesday.
But when it was time for the party of sixteen to leave the beach in the evening the Prophet was nowhere to be found.
“They gathered at the resort’s park to board their vehicle at around 9pm but Remilekun was missing.
“His girlfriend was asked about his whereabouts but all she could say was that he left his handset with her, promising to return,” sources familiar with the incident narrated.
It was further gathered that subsequently the disturbed fun-seekers returned to the beach the following day to continue the search and reported the matter at police station nearby.
However, an unpleasant result happened on Monday as the remains of deceased prophet were washed ashore on a separate beach located in the community.
