The insurance company has been mired in crisis occasioned by rumblings of discontent and split within its rank.
On those scales, LASACO’s parent body, Ibile Holdings Limited at the behest of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reportedly appointed former Lagos Commissioner for Commerce, and also at a time that of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Teju Philips in Disu’s place.
The ex-Chairman represented the interest of Lagos state government on LASACO board, the same interest Philips is now charged with.
It remains to be seen if Philips’ appointment would not fuel alleged friction between the two amazons, who are said to be at loggerheads and also calm frayed nerves in the set-up.
