A member representing Chikun Constituency in the Kaduna House of Assembly, Madami Garba Madami, is dead.
Madami, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, died in the hospital where he was receiving treatment on Saturday, three days after the inauguration.
Report said, he had been bedridden and in hospital, thus he was nowhere to be found at the 10th State Assembly members’ inauguration on June 13, 2023.
The state Governor, Senator Uba Sani commiserated with the bereaved family via a statement he released.
It reads partly, “God grant the soul of Madami eternal rest and comfort his family, associates, friends, and constituents he left behind.
“In his lifetime, Madami, served as Member, representing Chikun Constituency, in the Kaduna State House of Assembly; Chairman of Chikun Local Government Area; Commissioner of Planning and Budget and Special Adviser Political, to Late Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa.”
