A Benue Magistrates Court has ordered the remand of the newly appointed sole administrator of Buruku Local Government, David Yiman, in prison custody over the killing of Mr. Aondosoo Wilfred Tondo.

Late Tondo(pictured) was a senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science, the University of Mkar, Gboko, and was one of the aspirants contesting for Buruku Local Government chairmanship.
He was however killed by unknown gunmen early August in the presence of his family while having early morning devotion.
In the murder trial that commenced on Monday, the Chief magistrate Isaac Ajim ordered the remand of the incumbent boss of the local government, David Yiman and two others, Kosuvenyi Kungwa and Emmanuel Nyajo for allegedly killing Late Tondo.
Magistrate Ajim adjourned the case to January 23, 2017 for further hearing.
Yiman was among the 23 sole administrators, Gov. Samuel Ortom recently appointed.
