A herder has been struck to death alongside twelve cows by lightning in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident happened precisely at Matuak Giwa community in the Bondon District.
The herder who was described as a young chap by report, was said to have taken shelter from rain with his cattle when lightning that accompany a rainfall hit them at the supposed refuge, killing him and twelve cows.
The tragedy which occurred on Sunday threw the community into sadness
“The herder, along with 12 cows, died on the spot. It was a tragic occurrence that has left the community in shock,” the village head of Matuak Giwa, Simon Ayuba told newsmen.
