One Joel Ugwu has been arrested in Enugu State over the mysterious death of his lover, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Udeh, in a hotel room on June 2, 2017.
A married woman, the deceased, and Ugwu had lodged in a hotel in Trans Ekulu area of Enugu during which her death occurred.

Spokesman of Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident and Ugwu’s arrest saying the woman fell sick after drinking a malt drink and bottled water supplied by the hotel.
Amaraizu added that some “dangerous” drugs were recovered from the hotel room.
He said, “Recovered from the scene at the hotel room were leftovers of some dangerous tablets/capsules and other materials which will aid operatives in their investigations.”
