Contrary to earlier reports, the deceased lovers were not living in the same building. Oluwu resided at Iju-Ishaga area with his family’s house at 56, Shonola Street, Ogba while Promise, a mother-of-one, whose widower simply identified as Clement, a commercial bus driver, was a resident of No, 48 in the same Shonola Street.

Said to be a licensed agent, 39-year-old Olowu was married with kids.
The deceased’s younger brother, Idris, has, however, denied report that his late elder brother was having amorous relationship with Promise after they were found dead together in compromising position.

To buttress his point, Idris narrated that Late Promise’s husband at Area G Police Command where the bodies of the lovers were before it was transferred to the morgue, said he thought his wife died with one Femi, who he had suspected was dating her.

The bereaved sibling while trying to prove that there was more to his brother’s death than meets the eyes, said his family was told by Femi that Lukman and Promise’s deaths were not natural.

“I can swear with my life, that my brother didn’t have anything to do with Promise. He was a responsible man, married with children. He didn’t take alcohol.

“I learnt that woman was dating a guy called Femi, Promise’s husband, Clement, had warned the guy several times to stay away from his wife. Even, when the incident happened, the same Femi came to tell us that the trap was meant for him,” Idris told New Telegraph.
