The convoy of the immediate past Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Chika Malami was on Monday attacked in Kebbi State.
Recall that Malami has left the ruling All Progressives Congress for African Democratic Congress, ADC.
His convoy’s attack is allegedly perpetrated by thugs loyal to the APC.
It happened in Birnin Kebbi while the former minister was paying condolence visits to some bereaved persons whose relatives passed away while he was not in town.
“It’s a painful act clearly linked to politics. Some thugs came out from the APC state headquarters armed with dangerous weapons and stones, attacking and destroying our convoy,” Malami alleged.
Report said several supporters of the ex-minister were left injured in the attack while about 10 vehicles in his convoy were destroyed.
