A middle aged man has committed suicide in Akaibute Ozalla in Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu state.
The man identified as Adolphus Nwododo stabbed himself on his private part and neck with a knife severally over yet to be ascertained reasons.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at a nearby mortuary for post mortem examination.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the death of the 40-year-old man.
“Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the alleged death of one Adolphus Nwododo believed to be about 40 years and who was reported to have stabbed himself on the private part and neck with a knife on 4/3/14 at Akaibute Ozalla in Igbo Etiti local government area of Enugu state have commenced in full scale just as the corpse is now deposited at a nearby mortuary for post-mortem examination” he stated.
