A man has been arrested for taking part in the beating of a medical doctor with the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Kwara State over circumstances surrounding the death of his relative simply identified as Alhaji Saliu in the facility.
Alhaji Saliu died on Tuesday at the hospital to the dissatisfaction of his loved ones who felt he was not given due attention by the medical team, and three of them took it out on a doctor, by turning the latter into a punching bag.
Consequently, one of them was arrested by the hospital security personnel while the other two fled.
The deceased’s corpse was equally seized by the hospital management.
Late Saliu, a butcher, according to sources died of cancer of the blood and was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.
