A 70-year-old man, Michael Omolayo, escaped lynching after he was caught stealing hair in large quantities at a barber shop in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The suspected ritualist was arrested alongside a woman, his accomplice.
According to report, the incident happened at Oke-Emesho area in Akure at one Desmond’s barbing shop.
The pair were caught in the act drawing a mob to the scene who descended on them and dragged them to Deji Akure Palace.
Report added that on the order of the monarch, a search was carried out in the septuagenarian house during which strange objects were found confirming earlier suspicion the suspects were ritualists.
