A trader in Anambra State, Mazi Chibuzor Nzediegwu, aka “NZE,” has died while watching Saturday’s
UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal F.C. and Paris Saint-Germain F.C.
Mazi’s death occurred in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of the state at a viewing centre.
According to reports, which did not state which of the two clubs he was rooting for, the deceased collapsed during the match’s second half.
Eyewitnesses account, said upon his collapse, his fellow-fans gathered at the scene to restore him back to normalcy but their fruitless efforts prompted them to rush him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A native of Umudieleke Umuoru Village in Uga, it was gathered that he dealt in live goats, popularly called “Ewu Hausa,” at Orie Uga Market.
