A cruel man bearing Eyo Etim Bassey, has been held by the police for killing his girlfriend, Ruth Edem’s aunt, Harmony Edemawan, in Ikot Offiong Ambai Community, in Akpabuyo Local government area of Cross River state.
Upon the killing of Harmony, Eyo went on to hide her remains in the septic tank.
The lid on his cruel act was blown open following a discreet investigation embarked on by the Anti Cultism and Kidnapping Squad, ACKS, a tactical Unit of the Cross River state Police Command after Harmony was declared missing by her niece, Ruth.
Report said, Eyo’s motive for killing his victim was to escape paying an N1.2m he borrowed from her on the premise of investing it in his palm oil business.
However, the killer is said to have twisted the fact during interrogation telling the police that his victim sold his property for N9m and refused to remit the money to him.
