A 39-year-old man, Orishagbemi Sunday, has been killed in Zango Daji in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Sunday(pictured) was stabbed to death on Friday in the bid to broker peace between a friend of his said to be a vulcaniser at Ganaja Junction and one Sadiq.
The latter, a landlord’s son, report in circulation said dispute broke out between the two after the vulcanizer urinated near Sadiq’s parents’ building to the landlord’s son’s displeasure.
In the ensuing exchange, at a juncture, emotions of the disputants boiled over to which Sunday responded to, supposedly to calm frayed nerves but Sadiq fetched a knife and stabbed the peacemaker to death.
On a thread on the incident on Facebook, one user, Umbosan Agali described the deceased as a fine welder in a post accompanied by his picture; “This is the victim, a professional weather(sic) with lot of idea and creativity.”
