A plate of food has sent one man simply identified as John to an early grave at the hands of his friend and housemate, Akinola Adeleye.
The incident happened at Idiagbon in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State around two weeks ago.
According to report, John lived with Adeleye in an apartment in the area and trouble started when his killer went to eat at their usual restaurant and told the operator his friend would be the one to pay.
This infuriated John when he went to eat at same the place and was told so.
Sources said at home it became an issue between them, with John insisting Adeleye ought to procure his approval before acting in such manner much to the anger of the suspect.
The latter it was said, then ordered his friend to vacate his house but he refused.
The culmination was that the suspect fetched a knife and stabbed his friend to death.
Consequently, he was arrested and as per the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, he will have his days court from today(Friday).
