A husband from hell simply identified as Bayo, has killed his pregnant wife, Esther (nee Damboyi) in Ogun State.
The incident happened barely two years into their wedding at their residence around Canaaland Ota.
Esther, who hailed from North Central previously worked as a bar attendant at a hospitality firm, Kunix, located at Akute, an Ogun suburb.
The deceased was heavily pregnant with what could have been the couple’s first child.
Sources told OrijoReporters that it was Bayo’s nature to subject Esther to beating for flimsy reasons.
The abuse came to a head on Friday when he beat her to stupor, and on noticing she was manifesting symptoms of death called her family on phone and falsely told them she was in labour.
“However, neighbours were aware when it all happened while the deceased had earlier phoned her family members to intimate them about her ordeal before her demise.
“It was also visible that she was beating with wounds on her body. It equally led to the unborn not making it out alive with wounds on its body after the deceased mum was subjected to caesarean operation at the hospital where she was rushed to,” sources narrated.
Meanwhile, it is unknown whether the killer husband has been arrested.
