One Friday Omosigho has committed suicide after failed efforts to kill his wife over alleged promiscuity.
The incident happened at Ehiozevbaru village in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
Omosigho, a farmer, had accused the spouse, Mercy, of infidelity over which the village elders tried to broker truce.
Tragedy came on the farm on the fateful day when the angry farmer attacked the wife with machete multiple times, and thinking she was dead phoned her brother to acquaint him with his action.
The report added that Omosigho proceeded home to kill himself by drinking Sniper, while the surviving widow was rushed to the hospital.
