One Nnajiofor Nweke has killed his son’s school teacher in Delta State for disciplining his son.
The deceased was a teacher at Alihami Secondary School in Agbor, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State where Nweke’s son is a student.
The latter, according to report in general circulation alongside some of his fellow students stole keg of palm wine at a local shop.
Consequently the owner complained to the school authorities and the perpetrators were found out and subjected to corporal punishment by some teachers.
The punishment meted out to Nweke’s son irked him, and as a result he stormed the school on October 18 with cane, flogging teachers responsible during which one of them slumped to death.
Relating the sad incident the spokesperson for the Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe wrote, “Failed parenting!!! Now turned into a murder case On October 18, 2023, the suspect Nnajiofor Nweke, a father of one student (name withheld) at Alihame Mixed secondary School Agbor, on the said date, his son, alongside other students, went to a palm wine shop and allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine.
“The matter was reported to the school authorities, and the students were flogged. The suspect came to the school in protest with a cane and started flogging teachers.
“One of the teachers slumped and died. The suspect is currently in SCID undergoing investigation for a suspected case of murder. See what I am always talking about today parenting. Now him don buy market.”
