The clearing of Jigawa Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, of having illicit affair with a married woman, Tasleem Baba Nabegu by a Kano Sharia Court, does not sit well with her husband, Nasiru Buba.
Buba had approached the Kano Hisbah, accusing the Jigawa Commissioner of sleeping with his wife for which the Sharia police picked Sankara at a construction site in Kano said to belong to him allegedly used as their love nest.
His arrest and suspension by Jigawa State Governor made the news while his recent clearance of the charge by Sharia Court on grounds of alleged inadequate evidence is receiving a push back from the accuser.
“Following the investigation by the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, the report shows there is no evidence to prove that there was any illicit affair between Auwal Danladi Sankara and Tasleem Baba Nabegu.
“Since the complainant and his lawyers are not present to challenge the submission by the police, I have no choice but to strike out the case,” the Presiding judge, Ibrahim Sarki Yola said in his pronouncement.
The Sharia judgment is much to the displeasure of Buba who accused the court of miscarriage of justice saying he has hundreds of evidences from videos to WhatsApp calls and messages.
He added that he and his lawyer were not informed of the court sitting
“Most of these evidences I got them through my wife, Tasleem. If the court cleared them, they are not cleared in the eyes of God and the eyes of people who know the truth about the situation. I leave everything to Allah and he will be the judge, Insha Allah,” he said.
