One Onuwa Ijie and Nwanozie Uzor have been convicted of killing twin boys for money rituals by a High Court sitting at Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Ijie was sentenced to death while Uzor got 14 years jail term for his role in the killing of Chidalu and Chigozie Agwunobi.
Justice Onome Marshal-Umukoro handed down the conviction.
The court heard about how the 7-year-old twins were on March 5, 2020, lured by the defendants to a bush where their penis, eyes, tongues and hands were cut off and taken to a native doctor at Aguleri in Anambra State for money rituals.
It was also told that one of the defendants had earlier gone to the school of the twin children to take them but was turned down by the school teacher, one Mrs Emelda Ezekwude.
