A man whose wife is heavily pregnant, yesterday shot himself to death in Minna, the Niger State Capital.
The deceased identified as Nwakwa Martins is the owner of a popular electronic shop along the Old Airport, Minna.
Mr. Martins whose widow is pregnant shot himself in the stomach at about 5:30am at their residence near a popular hotel in Tunga Minna.
It was gathered that the deceased left his pregnant wife in the room around 5am and went to another room in the house where he shot himself while his wife was fast asleep.
Confirming the incident, spokesman of the state police command, Oguche Richard said it was suspected that the man committed suicide even though he didn’t leave a dying declaration note.
