Two nurses, Mrs. Marbel Onochel and Dorcas Omitogun, both staff of Trinity Clinic, Meiran, Lagos have been arrested over allegation that they sold a newborn.

Onoche, according to report, run a traditional medical centre and she and Omitogun conspired to steal the baby and sold it to one Mrs. Helen Okoh after lying to the mother that she had stillbirth and have buried the corpse.
It was gathered the family of the baby’s mother didn’t fall for Onoche and Omitogun’s lie but were adamant on seeing the remains even as the nurses lied that the child’s head was badly damaged.
Consequently, the matter was brought to the notice of the police in the area and during interrogation the pair confessed.
Mrs. Okoh who bought the baby is a resident of Ajah area and is equally in police custody.
Police source said, she claimed she has never been blessed with the fruit of the wombs and her inordinate desire to have one led her to the vile act.
