A medical doctor, Dr. Murtala Sale Dandashire has been shot by bandits who attacked Kankara General Hospital in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, his place of work.
By report, the armed bandits stormed the hospital around 7:00pm on Tuesday, kidnapping several workers, while they shot Dandashire in the leg.
It was said further that the injured doctor, was receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility.
The spokesperson for the Katsina State Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the attack to newsmen.
