Minister of Defence General Bashiir Magashi (rtd) has revealed that the whereabouts of abducted students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina are not unknown to the security authorities.
Three hundred and thirty three pupils are said to be in the den of the bandits, who attacked the school on Friday.
Magashi, who led service chiefs to the state on rescue mission, said they are not in the dark about the location of the bandits and their victims but would want to handle the exercise with ginger so as not to endanger the lives of the kidnapped students.
The minister disclosed this in presence of Governor Aminu Masari saying, “We have the strategies; we have the intelligence and the information. We also have details of their whereabouts, movements and methods of operations.
“The task is easy for the armed forces and the police. The only thing is that we need prayers from you so that there will be no collateral damage in the event of being hostile.
“We assure you that all hands are on deck. But, the conclusion by the armed forces is that these hoodlums should be declared terrorists.”
