Shittu had on Saturday inaugurated the South southwest zonal office of Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The minister, who has not hidden his ambition to succeed Abiola Ajumobi as Oyo State governor put on a fez cap with the inscription ‘Continuity ’19: Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo’, and had brought a bag containing the caps for distribution to cabinet members.
Sources said he had started the distribution when his action caught the eyes of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha. The latter reportedly walked up to the minister and told him to stop the act.
Shittu was said to have walked back to his seat, tail between legs, and handed over the bag to the council’s secretariat staff members, who are in charge of distributing documents and other items used by FEC members.
