Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, said to his knowledge, some ministers paid monies to get appointed by President Bola Tinubu.
El-Rufai recently dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for Social Democratic Party, SDP.
He made this claim while speaking on BBC Hausa Service when asked if his bitterness with President and the APC is born out of the abortion of his ministerial nomination by the Senate, a situation he later blamed Tinubu for.
“Did I seek to be a minister? I know people who paid to get ministerial appointments,” the former FCT Minister alleged.
He also said that he consulted with former President Muhammadu Buhari before leaving the ruling party, saying: “I left the APC with his full knowledge. I visited him on a Friday and informed him of my decision to leave the party because I was involved and consulted with him on all my matters.”
