The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi is in the news for the wrong reason again.

This time, he is accused of beating Oba Dhikrullahi Olaniran, the Agbowu of Ogbagbaa to a pulp with his victim being hospitalized at the Trauma Centre of Osun State General Hospital, Asubiaro.

The alleged beastly act has earned him call for suspension by some monarchs from Osun West Senatorial District.

Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Habeeb Adetoyese who spoke on behalf of others at the hospital where Ogbagbaa is undergoing treatment told newsmen that Oluwo attacked his alleged victim during a peace meeting called by the police AIG.

Adetoyese said the controversial monarch was locked in a battle with others over land matters and in the middle of a meeting to broker peace between them and him pounced on Ogbagbaa, an allegation Oba Akanbi didn’t dispel but claimed self-defence.

“At the peace meeting held at the AIG’s office, Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa interrupted me while making my speech and called me unprintable names, pointing his staff of office at me while attempting to stick the staff in my eyes, which was heavily rejected with force which Agbowu could not withstand,” he told newsmen.
