A woman, Olaide Adekunle, has been arrested for selling her baby in Ogun State.
Olaide, a resident of Sango in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, took the action to offset a N600,000 bank loan she obtained.
The 33-year-old had gone to Lagos with the 18-month-old, Moridiat Rasaq, on March 15 but on return was without the baby stirring her husband, Nureni Rasaq into complaining to the police, according to Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
Oyeyemi said of the incident via a statement;“Upon the report, the DPO Sango division, CSP Dahiru Saleh, detailed his detectives to go after the said woman, and she was promptly arrested.”
