An auto-mechanic, Olajide Tope, popularly known as Meco, has killed himself in Otan-Ile, Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State.
The circumstances surrounding his decision to commit suicide was sketchy as at the time of writing this report.
However, sources familiar with the matter said, Mecho took the action a day after he had a bitter quarrel with his wife.
“The couple had a quarrel on Wednesday which cause was unknown to us but they were amicably settled.
“It was a rude shock to many that he killed himself on Thursday night, by hanging,” sources narrated.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence(NSCDC) has confirmed the the report of Mecho’s suicide.
NSCDC spokesperson Kehinde Adeleke, while confirming it imputed the circumstances surrounding it to dispute between the couple.
