Daniel Okafor, the second son to actor John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding donation from members of the public to his ailing father.
Diabetes is plaguing Mr Ibu to the point of losing one of his legs to it, with money contributed publicly at his solicitation now dogged by controversy.
The actor has children from multiple women with his current wife, Stella Maris, in an Instagram post accusing his adopted daughter, Jazmine, of appropriating the bank account for the donation.
“I do not have access to the main Access bank account where people make donations. It is being secretly controlled by Jazmine yet she is cooking up all kinds of lies and propaganda against me to keep absolute control of that account. How she manipulated her way and took control of that account is a story for another day,” she wrote.
Stella’s account of the donation situation has gotten her step-son talking.
Daniel in an interview with Punchng is quoted to have reacted in this manner, “My name is Daniel Okafor; I am John Okafor’s second son.
“There is no truth in what Stella Maris has been sharing online. Jasmine does not have access to that account; I have access to it. I am the signatory to the account and my father’s next of kin.”
