A former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has revealed that his seven year-old grandson is aware that his first name, Lai, is bastardised in some quarters saying “I used to ignore it until my seven-year-old grandson asked me, ‘Why do they call you Liar Mohammed?’

The ex-minister who is a ministerial nominee, recounted this sensational incident on Tuesday when he appeared for screening saying in reply, he told the tot, “I told him, ‘Don’t mind them. They are the bad guys.’”
