Yemi, their mum & Akin

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that his blood brother, Akin, was with him onboard the ill-fated Augusta AW139 helicopter that crash landed at Kabba in Kogi State.

Osinbajo made this known at a thanksgiving service held at the RCCG City of Grace, in Lokoja, Kogi state, on Sunday, saying if all the passengers in the crashed helicopter had died, it would have been double tragedy for his aged mother.

“This is my older brother, the same father, same mother. Our father passed on long ago, but, our mother is alive. If both of us had lost our lives on the same day, that would have been an absolute tragedy, but, God saved that from happening,” the Vice President said.

Others aboard the ill-fated helicopter are: Minister of State for Labour, Stephen Ocheni, Femi Osinbajo, (his elder brother),  Special Adviser on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senior Special Assistant Foreign Affairs/Protocol, Ambassador Abdullahi Gwary.

Others include, Akande, (his spokesman), Personal Physician, Dr. Biodun Adelowo, Security Officer, Mr. Doyin Adetuberu and his aide-de-camp, Ayoola Oladunni.
