Governor Ademola Adeleke has explained the roles alloted his two wives in his Administration.
The Osun governor’s wives, Titilola and her counterpart, Ngozi, caught public attention when they printed separate flyers and banners bearing each picture with that of President Bola Tinubu’s wife, to welcome the First Lady to the state.
Their open rivalry occurred last April during Mrs Tinubu’s visit for the launch of her signature project, Alternative High School For Girls, a programme that offers opportunity to female drop-outs to have another shot at education.
Then, it set tongues wagging bordering on report that they usually fight over who between they to take the centre stage in official matters.
The governor in an interview with Punchng explained the office they individually occupied, saying: “It is not easy, and I must appreciate my wives for their sacrifices. Fortunately, they are also busy. One is the wife of the governor, the other is the first lady, and they both have official engagements to attend.
“However, during holidays, we make time to be together and enjoy quality moments as a family. Governance is a huge sacrifice, but we are managing it well.”
