Less than seven weeks to the commencement of the 2018 World Cup, there are palpable fear in the air that Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi may miss the mundial following a  hamstring injury.

The defensive midfielder on Saturday suffered the injury when his club Leicester City battled Crystal Palace, at the Selhurst Park

Stadium. “I hope it is not a serious injury for Ndidi and I hope he can play in the World Cup,” said his coach, Claude Puel after the game.

Super Eagles coach and Nigeria Football Federation officials are reportedly concerned about the midfielder’s state.

Recall that players like Ogenyi Onazi, Leon Balogun, Tyronne Ebuehi and recently Joel Obi are injured and there are doubts about any of them not being at the event.
