A Nigerian Healthcare worker in the UK, Adewale Kudabo, has been jailed by the country’s court for kissing a patient.
Kudabo was in the employ of York Hospital as a health care worker when he committed the offence, the prosecutor, Henry Fernnandez told the court.
The Nigerian who moved to the UK with his family, according to Fernnandez was assigned to bathe a patient in pain, and during the exercise forcefully kissed the victim.
Judge Alex Menary heard that the convict at another time repeated the sexual assault before his victim complained to the hospital authorities.
Menary sentenced the 47-year-old to 12-month imprisonment.
Prior to the judgment, Kudabo pleaded guilty to the two counts of sexual assault.
The court jailed him for one year on Tuesday (June 10) and said he must serve half of the sentence before he is eligible for release.
