President Muhammadu Buhari has warned Nigerians against messing up with him on leaving office, saying neighbouring Nigeriens would stand by him.
The outgoing President sounded this warning on Tuesday during the inauguration of the N19.6 billion Nigeria Customs Service Corporate headquarters in Abuja.
Buhari said, he is a favourite with Nigeriens whose French colony, neighbours his home town, Daura, where he planned to hole up on vacating office, and they won’t sit by if Nigerians go against him.
”I try to plan to be as far away from Abuja as possible. I came from an area which is far away from Abuja. If anybody with force moves, I have a good relationship with my neighbours. Niger people will defend me,” Buhari warned.
